URGENT PLEASE ANSWER (Toenails falling off)?

My mother in in the cleaning business, she cleans offices and things like that. She has to wear closed in shoes ('sneakers') Any who, it was a few days ago that she started to notice strange things happen to 4 of her toe nails. I have looked at them and the 'affected' toe nails seem to be tinted slightly yellow, a creamy yellow, and they look terribly dried up. The nails are all hanging from a small piece of alive skin, if she wanted to, she could pull them off easily. She says she feels no pain whatsoever. What could be happening? Also, a few weeks ago, on one of her toes she has bubbles all over one specific toe filled with pus, she's popped them all and now is healed, the only issue are these dried up, slightly yellow, and kinda dead-looking toe nails. Does anyone have an answer and some remedies or medications she should pursue?

The big toe is fairly tough. Dropping a weight on tip will definitely cause a nasty bruise, but it's unlikely to break it. Keep your weight off it, ice it down when it hurts, and do not take aspirin. Aspirin will cause any injury to bleed and/or swell more. At night, prop the foot up on a pillow and the throbbing won't be quite as bad. I'm afraid that this is just one of the things you have to tough out while it heals.

Okay so , I am 17. And my father is an acoholic. He has put me and my grandmother through **** over the course of my life. My mother lives in new york for the record. and I dont have a relationship with her. She use to send me cards all the time but he would put "return to sender" and he has custody of me. but Anyway, he still lives here with his mother, (my grandmother) and she has raised me my whole life. He hasn't done anything for me. My father doesn't let me out the house AT ALL. Im always stuck in the house because if i ever leave he threatens to kill my cat. He has threatened to shoot me and my grandmother before and has called us bitches and sluts. Keep this in mind I just recently graduated. and im a good kid. This past day i went to the grocery store with my grandmother, and he put me on punishment for 2 months. and then another month for messing up magnets on the fridge. What's wrong with my ear?

About a week and a half ago I got back from a Florida vacation in which on several occasions, I got water stuck in my ear, and each time I did a crappy job of getting the water out. After a day or two when we got back my ear started hurting and I didn't really pay it any attention until it became quite bothersome whenever I would scratch my ear and a shooting pain would run through it. I thought it was swimmer's ear so I took some swimmer's ear drops and even though I let them spill out after about 5 minutes of having them in (due to the burning pain they were causing in my ear) the next day the pain was pretty much gone. Another day went by with no pain. And then I think we're to yesterday, when I was cleaning my ears out with a q-tip after the shower. I was going pretty deep in my ear like I always do, thinking nothing of it, but later on in the day and today as well, my ear has started hurting again, this time even more so than before. So I know it's either swimmer's ear, an infection, or I harmed my ear while cleaning it. Which is more likely?

Last year we had a rat problem - one got in the house from the back garden. Now that we seemed to have got rid of the rat problem I am catching rather a lot of mice in the same garden approximately 1 per day in the past week. I mentioned it to some friends who happen to live in the country and they told me that if we have mice we will not have rats as they do not mix - how true is this ?? I think the main reason for them in our garden is the pond as we do not put out food scraps for wildlife nor do we have pets or have a lot of waste / hiding places for them but the neighbours do. I would rather live with the mice than exterminate them and have the rats come back - has anyone heard this saying before or have any idea if it might be true ? ?

I got my toenail removed from my big toe today and it hurts REALLY bad...?

I had a really bad fungus under my toenail and I had to get it removed. I can't put any kind of pressure on it, and even just sitting here it is throbbing. I still have the initial bandage on it that the nurse put on, and when I try to peel it off gently it feels like I'm ripping the skin right off. It hurts really bad. Will the bandage fall off if I just leave it on when I go to soak my feet? Or should I use scissors to cut it off? Also have to take Lamosil for 3 months, to get rid of the fungus. I was told to flush out the toe 3-4 times today, but as soon as it starts to stop throbbing, i have to flush it out and then it starts killing me again. Then you want to CAREFULLY cut a small "V" between the center of your toenail and the edge of the nail on the ingrown side. As the nail naturally grows out it will pull that ingrown part out and away from the edge of the nail bed. The only other thing you can do is go to a Dr. and go through a HECK of a lot of pain.

Long lasting soreness in big toe?

My big toes feel sore, as if they're a little bit bruised on the tip, whenever I put any pressure on them. This has been going on for over two months I think. I've wondered whether I might have an ingrown toenail, but my toes don't look sore of red, and I would be surprised if I'd had that for so long without it getting better or worse. The only change in these last months is that I've been wearing flip flops almost constantly. I'm wondering if continual wearing of flip flops might put too much pressure on my big toe when I walk, and if I stop wearing them the soreness might get better. Ingrown toenail help its bleeding for way too long?

I've had the problem before but now its the whole one side of the nail I have took some of the nail out but there is this little piece close to the root that I can't get out there was pus not anymore now its just bleeding it stop hurting like where there is no pain and I messed around with trying to see why it was still bleeding and now it hurts when there is pressure its been bleeding for a week not a a lot but it continues very annoying. This event would need to have been fairly recent, as we have not seen any "new" alternate variations of humans anywhere that have come up since. And, it would need to have been a remarkably selective catastrophe, since it managed to wipe out every single variation of human except for minor racial variations we see today, yet it was not powerful enough to kill the millions of animals and bugs and birds and every sort of creeping crawling things alive today. What can i do about My apartment complex not letting me have internet?

So i have lived in this apartment complex for a couple months and have been trying to get internet, after going through hell and back not being able to get it connected.. i got someone to come out to see what the problem was. So i can't get internet OR use a land line... i called them to tell them they needed to replace the wiring and they told me no.. What to do about my landlord?

I never saw a bed bug before... until my neighbors moved out. I had done some work cleaning the apartment above me for my landlord. when I went up stairs to clean it was infested,roaches- bed bugs... gross I told my landlord about it he claims he went up there and bombed...but diden't bother to mention to n-e 1 else in the building about the bombing.(He only bombed 1 aptment...left the other 3).or the bug problem we all have kids, I don't think he was even supposed to exterminate while ppl were home! They call me a pig. None of the boys look at me. When I was in school today, all the other girls looked so good, with their long hair and pretty faces, skin like angels, and then there was me. The bully of the school, a pretty girl named Stace, approached me, called me "hippo" and shoved a huge Dairy Milk chocolate bar in my face. I exploded. I shrieked out "I've had enough!" and hit Stace in her jaw as hard as I could. I thought this would be a break from the bullying, but it wasn't. Suddenly, a swarm of about ten boys ran up to me, screaming names like "Gorilla!" and "Elephant!" I just broke down and started to cry. Then the school tough guy, LLoyd, helped Stace up, took one look at me, and slapped me, I wailed out, and then everyone shouted "the whale is calling!" and a boy said "even a whale wouldn't **** that!" I cannot explain how much this harmed me. I ran home. School wasn't over, I just didn't know what to do. At least 5 people chased me, and they caught up with me. They just followed me to my house, screaming abuse at me, while I was crying. Everyone was so heartless. People threw dirt at my house. Just now, I got a text message with two pictures attached, one of me and one of a gorilla, saying "who's who?" as the text. I'm just going to end it all. I am tired of this!!!!! How to get rid of/stop getting blisters caused by running?

I jog a few miles every day. I have some tennis shoes that I've used for about a year and they seem to fit well, so its not that I'm getting blisters from breaking in new tennis shoes. I know it's about time to get new running shoes anyways, which I've been meaning to do but just haven't gotten around to it yet. But this has been happening for years now, even when I had different shoes. So I don't get it. They dont hurt very much when I'm running, unless its a previous blister that I tried to pop or something. They're more like pressure blisters, like on the sides of my big toes there's blood blisters that are underneath what is now thick callous. So even though my body is getting accustomed to it somewhat, the blisters keep happening! I also get water blisters on the back of my heels. And blood blisters near the bottom of my toenails sometimes. Same story, the blisters start to become more calloused, but why do they keep happening? How can I prevent and/or treat this problem? Is there a certain kind of running shoe I should get that may help? It makes my feet look so ugly too. I really hate it.

Question about apartment security deposit refunds?

First off, I need to say that I'm a very clean person. I have two cats and both are bathed once a month or so. Why do I pass out after seeing blood?

Okay well yesterday I was at the doctors office with my girlfriend because her toenail got almost completely ripped off. Why does my budgie do this?!?

I don't consider what I am doing to be self harm I mean I am hurting myself but not really badly . Befriended a mentally ill person, I now fear for my life?

I befriended this kid last year, he sat in the back of the room, very silent. He was smart, but then I got to know him. I learned he is fascinated with knives and guns. He is a religious nut, he says he hates everybody who isn't a catholic and that they should be killed in a genocidal fashion. He brings knives with him to school for no reason, he's even brought a tomahawk. Last night, a friend of mine made a facebook group about cats, and he decided to join in. He began to post images of cats being burned alive, mutilated etc. Around 4 months ago, I was in the car with him and he saw a dead cat on the side of the road and literally opened up my passenger side window and made his maniacal laugh at the dead cat. He said cats are "the Devil's creatures and should be exterminated from this Earth." Oh, and his laugh is like that of a serial killer. I'm beginning to fear him, and I fear if he loves seeing animals being mutilated, and he carries knives with him all the time, I fear he may try that on humans one day or at least try to get me involved.

Cracked and flakey toenail, won't grow?

Hi guys, I've had this problem for a while and I am finally sick of dealing with this toenail and want help. I have always worn toenail polish, so my toenails aren't in the best of shape. Some of them are cracked, but they all grow. I have this one toenail (second toe in) that won't grow. It is cracked side to side in multiple areas, and it doesn't grow straight forward, almost inward. It's not ingrown and there is no pain, it is just bizarre and ugly. When I attempt to trim it, it merely peels off layers and reveals bright white, flakey layers beneath it. I am unsure what to do because I am unsure what is going on. If someone could give me some suggestions, that would be great. Thank you!

I feel as though I don't deserve to eat?

It's kind of hard to explain but almost every time I've had something to eat in the last two or three months I've been getting a really guilty feeling inside telling me that I don't deserve the food in front of me. Is it really safe to use oral Lamisil?

I had my big toenail removed today because of a really bad fungus and the doctor said he recommends me taking oral Lamisil for 12 weeks. The thing is that I heard it can eff up your liver. But I already had a blood test done at the hospital (he needs to make sure my liver doesn't act up after I take the Lamisil, so he can compare blood tests with my first one). I have also heard that it doesn't even work because the fungus is so hard to treat. Should I just not take it or try something else first once the nail grows back (God knows when that'll be)? My friend decided to put glitter gel nails on my fingernails even though they're only for toenails. She failed to mention that they ruin your nails when you take them off. Okay so , I am 17. I live in Maryland. And my father is an acoholic. He has put me and my grandmother through **** over the course of my life. My mother lives in new york for the record. and I dont have a relationship with her. She use to send me cards all the time but he would put "return to sender" and he has custody of me. but Anyway, he still lives here with his mother, (my grandmother) and she has raised me my whole life. He hasn't done anything for me. My father doesn't let me out the house AT ALL. Im always stuck in the house because if i ever leave he threatens to kill my cat. He has threatened to shoot me and my grandmother before and has called us bitches and sluts. Keep this in mind I just recently graduated. and im a good kid. I dont do drugs. my grades are good. and when i turn 18 which is october 13th. i plan to move with my cousins start college and get a full time job.. But I am also concerned bout the safety of my grandmother. Im afraid he might physically harm her when I am gone. This past day i went to the grocery store with my grandmother, and he put me on punishment for 2 months. and then another month for messing up magnets on the fridge. I tried to have a decent convo with him but he just said leave me alone and i dont wanna talk to you. Some incidents were worse and he has punched walls and broken down doors before. Like I said he has lived in this house his whole life. and he has me and my grandmother terrified. he doesn't pay bills but he works. just to buy his beer and cigarettes. Im tired of going through this with him. The doctor has now seen me twice for what he says is to drain and clean the area. I did not have this done with the big toes. Cleaning it out has caused me so much pain! Throbbing big toe week after toenail fell off.?

Monday of last week I had a toenail clipped off. It was already almost completely detached so I didn't have any torn or ripped off. No bleeding whatsoever. The doctor said it looked like it was caused by a blister under the toenail from shoes or running. My toenail already has about 3 months of growth (it was growing with my old nail on top of it because I didn't know it was falling off) but just last night, I was woken at 3 AM by throbbing toe pain. But I've never felt this sort of pain in my toe before. It's red, swollen, warm to the touch and tender all around. Swelling starting from then "knuckle" of my big toe? I just wanted to mention that I have a fungal toe infection too which I've had for about a year now probably, I hadn't realised it was a fungal infection for a while because I always keep my toenails painted a dark colour and at first thought it might just be a bruise or leftover nailvarnish, but I have been attempting to treat it over the last few months. I also had what is called Pityriasis Rosea, a harmless skin rash that lasted about 6 weeks and is apparently caused by a fungal infection. So is it very probable that I have thrush after all these fungal infections? I've just scared myself silly with all the websites saying that women can't have sex with their partners because it hurts too much and they've gone months without sex, I just don't want that to be me!

Alcoholic Father.. Child Abuse? Please Help?

Okay so , I am 17. And my father is an acoholic. He has put me and my grandmother through **** over the course of my life. My mother lives in new york for the record. and I dont have a relationship with her. She use to send me cards all the time but he would put "return to sender" and he has custody of me. but Anyway, he still lives here with his mother, (my grandmother) and she has raised me my whole life. He hasn't done anything for me. My father doesn't let me out the house AT ALL. Im always stuck in the house because if i ever leave he threatens to kill my cat. He has threatened to shoot me and my grandmother before and has called us bitches and sluts. Keep this in mind I just recently graduated. and im a good kid. I dont do drugs. my grades are good. and when i turn 18 which is october 13th. i plan to move with my cousins start college and get a full time job.. But I am also concerned bout the safety of my grandmother. Im afraid he might physically harm her when I am gone. This past day i went to the grocery store with my grandmother, and he put me on punishment for 2 months. and then another month for messing up magnets on the fridge. I tried to have a decent convo with him but he just said leave me alone and i dont wanna talk to you. Some incidents were worse and he has punched walls and broken down doors before. Like I said he has lived in this house his whole life. and he has me and my grandmother terrified. he doesn't pay bills but he works. just to buy his beer and cigarettes. Im tired of going through this with him. He never hit me just for the record. but as far as emotional abuse he has done that. he has even made a homemade paddle out of wood and its about a inch long and says "lindseys paddle" I want to get the police involved somehow because im suffering. He doesn't like people coming over here at all. and he has alineated me and my grandmother from the rest of our family and everyone really. Effects of a wolf spider bite? Wolf spider extermination?

probably saw the Bold Jumping Spider (both spiders)... they are big enough to bite and it would hurt, the worst thing to happen would be it get infected and cause issues....the vast majority of the time when you go to a dr with a nasty looking spot and he states it looks like a spider bite, it is actually the infection around the bite that is the problem, (it very well could of been an infected hair that caused the spot) They hunt other spiders by the way, might be worth keeping around.

Will I spread my toenail fungus by doing this?

Hey guys. I'm 20 & have had (what I believe) is toenail fungus for about 2 years. I have always used the same clippers for my feet, and fingernails. After reading it can spread it, I tried to disinfect the clippers with witchhazel (it contains 14% alcohol) I'm not sure if it did any good though. I haven't notice any areas of my fingernails which look like they may be infected, they look perfect. How much of a risk am I at if I stop using the same clippers? Thank you!

I got swarmed by tiny black bugs a little while ago?

I was looking into a birdhouse in my yard to see if any were still in there. I pulled away and sat down and felt tickling on my hand. I look down to see about 100 little black bugs swarming on my hand. I smacked them all off then noticed i felt tickling on my thigh. I looked there and about 50 were crawling up my shorts. A week ago I got an ingrown toenail removed but the swelling is still there, is that normal?

I am just wondering how long does it take for the swelling and redness to go away? I had the ingrown toenail removed (1/3 of the nail) exactly one week ago and the swelling has NOT gone down at all. It's the same as it was before the removal of the nail. I have been soaking my feet in warm, salt water everyday since last tuesday and I've been rubbing antibiotic ointment around my toe but nothing seems to help. Should I go see the doctor again?

They're probably looking for water, not food. I found a rather unique solution to my ant problem right here in Y/A a few years ago. It's a bit unsightly for a few days, but it worked. Take a regular stick of chalk (I think the giant sidewalk chalk they sell in the toy dept. at Walmart might work better) and draw lines around the counter tops. Since you have cracks you might even use the chalk around the cracks. For whatever reason, the chalk drives the ants away. I thought it sounded crazy, but it works pretty well. Try using the chalk under the sink where the water pipes come in. Hope it works for you!

Bed bugs didn't leave after exterminators came, why?

The exterminators came last Thursday and exterminated my entire apartment. Up until today, Wednesday the 22nd, I haven't had one bed bug bite, nor have I seen one. Today, I just woke up due to a pinch on the left side of my waist. It was a huge bed bug, which I squished. What I'm asking is WHY? Why do I still have bed bugs when the exterminators came. They did say they were going to come a second time just in case, but really, I thought it would be done after one job. What's the probability that they will be gone after the second extermination? Can too much medicine harm hamsters?

hi, four weeks ago my two robo hamsters got mites. we took them to the vets and they gave us some medicine that you dab on their skin/fur. we got told to use it two weeks after then, and four weeks after then (today) and i held them while my mum put it on them, and we left them alone. this was about an hour ago and now their fur is still quite wet and they are rubbing against things trying to get it off them. we don't think we have but if we've put too much medicine on them, would it be bad for them/hurt them?

What flea/tick do you recomend?

so im moving to texas with my mom and her yard has so many fleas and ticks. Now i will say she does exterminate and they just come back. And i repeat i need something to work with TICKS as well. So please dont say something that is just for one i need both. They told me about the only natrual flea and tick tag but i havnt heard of any reviews on how it works with ticks so anyone had ticks before and now doesnt using the tag? What about frontline? Problems!!! Help Me understand!?

I dont know if it is bad luck, karma or what other term there is, i have been having so many problems. First, I find out i have depression, and anxiety (therapist) and I was only 9 at the time. I hardly want to get up out of my bed and I see really no point in life. I dont remember a time that I was ever happy for more than a few minutes. The day of my graduation, I laughed with my friends and had so much fun, then I chipped my tooth from laughing. First day of middle school I was so excited and energetic, I went to the pool, and I pulled my back muscle, only a year after pulling my stomach muscle.I get a loose tooth every month, and I always have to eat on one side.(i have a lot of dental problems). More situations I couldn't remember...... Fast forward to the end of 6th grade, I was happy and smiling, then I find out my counselor wont be coming back next year, and she was the only person I could talk to. It was only one week since vacation and I WAS relaxed and having fun for a short while. Until a small chip of my tooth came loose and I couldn't eat. Every thing fun has to end in something bad happening for me. My first time on a fun roller coaster, I got extremely nausiated and I almost passed out. On my 10th birthday, my cake got ruined on the way. And, I am only 11 going on 12. I just need help understanding life. For some, they get family members killed, they get illnesses and terrible things occuring. For some they get a much better life. And so many innocent people get killed for no good reason. I think of myself as a nice person. I dont harm, I dont like making people feel bad, and I am the person who does what they are told, and then I am mocked and called a goody-goody. What did I ever do wrong? Or does life just suck like that.
